National Investment Competition

26th-29th November 2012

Following last years hugely successful conference and investment competition, this month, entrepreneurs and start-ups will be entering the competition again to hopefully win the prestigious prize of being a winner at Tech Entrepreneurs Week.  The big difference this year is that there are two competition tracks [please see diagrams below for process overview] with two prizes.  The competitions are:

1.  SEED INVESTMENT COMPETITION

• WIN Prestigious Title, Conference Benefits & £50,000 seed funding (standard terms & conditions apply)
• We welcome all types of technology start-ups, from cloud, mobile, social, traditional software, hardware and infrastructure segments
• To qualify, you need to be seeking less than £500k – which can be a product, protected idea and/or company
• Lead entrepreneur, CEO or Founder must present through competition
• Start-up will be featured in the programme, and present to the Alpha Jury (first three days, made up of successful tech angels)
• At Final’s Day, should the start-up make it through the rounds, they will present to leading UK Super-Angels & Venture Capitalists

Last year VC’s included Accel, Doughty Hanson, Octopus Investments, Pond Ventures, Index Ventures, Balderton Capital, PROFounders Capital, Fidelity Growth Partners, Ariadne Capital, Albion Ventures, Oxford Capital Partners, Scottish Equity Partners and more…
